Texas Hill Country Engagement

Tara and Paul’s engagement came out so cute, you almost can’t tell how absolutely FREEZING it was!

When we first talked to Tara about doing her engagement pictures, it was a nice and toasty 70 degrees out. Mind you, it was in the middle of January, but it seemed like the warm weather was around to stay. As always, Texas weather is unpredictable and does what it wants.

Tara and Paul decided on shooting the pictures at their wedding venue, Lone Star Oaks, which not only served as a gorgeous backdrop but also gave us a great opportunity as photographers to tour the venue and get a lay of the land before their big day. We shot most of the photos outside among the venue’s plethora of oak trees right as the sun was setting- giving us the most beautiful golden hour shots.

The only problem was the 40+ mph wind gusts, which threatened to blow us and our equipment over multiple times. That paired with the freezing temperatures did not make for ideal conditions, but Paul and Tara were such good sports!

The pictures came out absolutely beautiful, we were so thankfully to be able to capture such a special moment and are beyond excited to shoot their wedding in May!
