Chapel Dulcinea Night Wedding

Tessa and Sizhan’s Chapel Dulcinea night wedding was a dream come true.

We’ve always wanted to shoot at Chapel Dulcinea, so when Tessa and Sizhan asked us to shoot their micro wedding there we were beyond thrilled. It is such a fun, funky venue- we are looking forward to shooting there again someday.

It was, however, a bit of a challenge as Tessa and Sizhan were slated for a nighttime ceremony with Chapel Dulcinea’s Night Flame Wedding package. The chapel sits on a cliffside in almost pure darkness, and Tessa and Sizhan really wanted us to capture the mood and ambiance of the chapel’s gas lanterns without adding any additional lighting to the photos. Thankfully we love a good challenge.

We had to be patient and precise shooting this wedding to ensure we captured crisp images despite the lowlight. The pictures came out so beautifully moody- and we had the best time taking them!

Right after the ceremony ended, a pack of coyotes began to howl from the darkness of the Texas countryside. It was so beautiful to sit there under a blanket of stars and hear their eerie calls- it was the perfect way to spend our Halloween weekend.
