Sekrit Theater Engagement

Jovanna and Matthew’s engagement session at Sekrit Theater was an absolute dream.

Jovanna reached out to us earlier this year inquiring about wedding photography, and asked if we did engagement pictures also. After hopping on a quick consultation call, we were booked for an engagement shoot and Jovanna decided on Sekrit Theater as the location.

It’s no secret that Sekrit Theater is one of our absolute favorite spots in Austin, we were so excited to be shooting there! The early April date ended up with the most perfect weather. We showed up an hour before the sunset, right as the sky turned golden, and got to work.

Jovanna was a dream client to work with, she knew exactly what she wanted, sent me tons of inspiration, and both Jovanna and Matthew arrived in the cutest coordinating outfits. They claimed to be shy, saying they were a little nervous having never taking pictures together before, but they knocked it out of the park. Any feedback I gave they immediately took into account, and were naturals behind the lens.

Some of our favorite pictures from the entire shoot ended up being completely unprompted, they were just that good at modeling! Halfway through the shoot we were greeted by the cutest little cat that lives on the property who ended up being a kitty photobomber, demanding to be in every picture. Luckily Jovanna is a vet, both her and Matthew are avid cat lovers, so they wanted her front and center.

The pictures are beyond adorable, and we cannot wait to shoot Jovanna and Matthew’s wedding in November!
