McKinney Falls Maternity Shoot
We had the best time taking Taylor’s Maternity photos at McKinney Falls State Park.
Taylor is a close friend of mine, she hired me to work as an intern at the Austin Film Society back when I was in college, so the second I heard she was pregnant I told her I HAD to take her maternity pictures.
After lots of back and forth on the date and location, we settled on McKinney Falls in mid March- and it was absolutely the best decision. It was a gorgeous day, 70 degrees outside, and we pulled up right as the sun began its decent. All of the pictures are filled with the most spectacular golden hour light, as well as the lush forests of the Texas Hill Country.
Unfortunately, Taylor’s husband Jake was unable to make it for the photos, but we had no problems with shooting Taylor by herself as she used to be a model. She took direction so well, and was a complete natural behind the camera!
My favorite picture of the whole shoot was when she was smiling and posing one moment, and had to pause for a contraction in the next. She closed her eyes and placed her hands on her stomach to breathe through it, and we were so grateful to be able to capture such a special and tender moment. It ended up being our favorite photo from the entire shoot!
Taylor and Jake’s little Aries baby arrived in Early April and we are so happy for them!
